Biography
Roberta Vann joined Hamilton Health more than 40 years ago when the Health Center was in its infancy. She is the center’s longest tenured employee. She has held numerous positions through the years, culminating in her current position as Patient Services Manager. Prior to joining the Hamilton Health Center staff, she taught the Visually Impaired for the Commonwealth Of Virginia. She also taught in the Philadelphia and Harrisburg School Systems. With her leadership , Hamilton Health Center became the first DPW Community Partner to gain access to the COMPASS enrollment system, earning the organization the “Reaching out Award” Under her leadership, Hamilton’s Patient Services Department became a key aspect of the health center’s operation; in 2009, the center was selected to join the Direct Relief Network of about 200 organizations in the country to receive free medications and supplies for uninsured patients. She also assisted with the development of responsive and effective interpretation and advocacy services for the center. In 2011 she was presented the Career Achievement Award by the Pennsylvania Community Health Center Association (PACHC). In 2014, she and her staff provided assistance to over 12,000 Hamilton patients. She is a graduate of Virginia State University.
