Mary Weaver

Mary Weaver joined the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC) as Executive Director in November 2012. After receiving her MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland, she worked in Financial Services Marketing for twelve years. She moved to York in 1997 and volunteered in the community with the Pennsylvania SIDS Alliance and Wellspan’s Palliative Care program. Mary joined the staff of Congressman Todd Platts as his immigration specialist and outreach coordinator, providing education to immigrant families regarding the family-based immigration process, and assisting with Naturalization and DACA workshops. Mary served on the PIRC Board for three years before becoming Executive Director and now serves on the York Hospital Board. Her work with PIRC allows her to see the daily impact of immigration laws and policies and reinforces her belief that each person should have equal access to justice.
